When do the Paris Olympics start and end?

First things first: competition starts on Wednesday, July 24 and ends on Sunday, August 11.

You might be thinking to yourself, “Hold up! That seems a little long — aren’t the Olympics around two weeks long?”

You aren’t wrong. There are 16 days of competition betweenthe Opening Ceremony on Friday, July 26 and Closing Ceremony on Sunday, August 11. However, the Olympic schedule is so jam-packed that some sports (soccer, rugby) hold preliminary competitions a day or two prior to the Opening Ceremony, on July 24 and July 25.

How to watch the 2024 Paris Olympics on TV

Who is hosting NBC's coverage during the 2024 Paris Olympics?
