Best time/value method

Levels 27-58 – Cutting Emeralds (180k xp/hr)

Starting off the medium section, you’ll be cutting Emeralds. This is slightly more expensive compared to cutting Sapphires, but the XP increase is well worth it and you will power through the early levels. Also this method is more AFK compared to other methods, so you will be able to relax or alternatively you could be making some gold that you could sell for real money or use to train up your skills. If you’re interested in that, here’s a guide on how to make IRL money playing RS and here are a few AFK money makers that you can do on your alt accounts while you train your crafting. Levels 43-55 – Cutting Diamonds (290k xp/hr)

Levels 55-63 – Cutting Dragonstone (370k xp/hr)

This is where it starts getting expensive, so I highly recommend sticking to Rubies or Diamonds, because you can save a lot of money and you won’t need as much capital to get the levels. I also recommend training to level 63, because you will be able to craft Green d’hide bodies at roughly 300k xp/hour for a ~8 times lower price per xp. But if gold is no issue for you, you can continue cutting dragonstones until level 77 where Red d’hide bodies will give you more xp per hour at a cheaper price.

Levels 63-71 – Crafting Green Dragonhide Bodies (300k xp/hr)

Next up, you’ll be crafting green dragonhide bodies from levels 63 to 71. To enjoy the great experience rates, you’ll just need a needle, some thread, and a lot of green dragon leather. Now, use the needle on the blue dragon leather and select blue dragonhide bodies to make some. Sit back as your character crafts these dragonhide bodies and repeat the process until 84!

Levels 77-84 – Crafting Red Dragonhide Bodies (385k xp/hr)

Pretty much same as before, but instead of blue dragon hides use red ones.

Levels 84-99 – Crafting Black Dragonhide Bodies (430k xp/hr)

Finally – you’re here! For the last method in this crafting guide, you’ll be crafting black dragonhide bodies from levels 84 to 99. You’ll be following the same techniques as before to do so. You’ll need a needle, some thread and a huge amount of black dragon leather. Crafting Money Making Methods – Profit while Training

There’s not a lot of ways to get rich through crafting, but let’s go through a few! Check out this blogpost for more crafting money making methods and a unique method to train crafting and magic at the same time while making a profit.

Crafting bowstrings (234,00 GP/HR) is an age-old technique for any RuneScape enthusiast. Alongside the tranquil nature of spinning flax, you’ll also be making a decent amount of gold! For this, you’ll need 10 crafting, and a bunch of flax. You can get the flax for free at flax field near Seers’ Village, or you could buy them from the Grand Exchange. With your flax, head to the spinning wheel on the 1st floor of the Lumbridge Castle and use your flax to spin them into bowstring – for profit. After completing an inventory of bow string, you’ll just need to head back upstairs in the Lumbridge castle to the bank, where you can withdraw more flax – and do it all over again!

1 to 99 OSRS Crafting Guide Best Methods | Ezrsgold (18)

Another method is crafting gold bracelets (129,000 GP/HR). This is particularly as it is very AFK. And yes – we went over this in the preliminary sections of this guide – so be sure to check that out for an in depth guide on crafting gold bracelets. I’m sure you’d love to be rewarded for your hard earned gold. If you want to start making some real life cash for OSRS GP, head here.

1 to 99 OSRS Crafting Guide Best Methods | Ezrsgold (19)

Next up, is crafting snakeskin armor (215,000 GP/HR). To craft the boots, you’ll need level 45 crafting, the vambraces require level 47 crafting, the bandanna requires level 48 crafting, the chaps require level 51 crafting, and finally, the body requires level 53 crafting. Due to the low buy limits of each item, we recommend you work through crafting them all – as they all profit! To do so, all you’ll need is a needle, some thread and some snakeskin, and you’re ready to go. Just use the needle on the snakeskin, and select the specific snakeskin item you wish to make. It’s as easy as that!
1 to 99 OSRS Crafting Guide Best Methods | Ezrsgold (20)

And finally, we’ve got the method of crafting ruby bracelets (250,000 GP/HR). To craft these ruby bracelets, you’ll have to have 42 crafting. So, with a bracelet mold in your inventory, alongside gold bars, head to a furnace (such as the one in Edgeville). At the furnace, use the gold bar on it, and select the ‘make all’ option on the ruby bracelet. As your character starts making ruby bracelets, the profit will start to come in!
